The past few months I have been listening to a whole bunch of stuff. Here are a few standouts:

King Crimson and related music. Especially live recordings. Just saw BEAT on 12/6 in the Boston area. They played most of the 80s King Crimson repertoire and put on an excellent show.

Plenty of classical orchestral music including symphonies by Bruckner, Tubin, Martinu, Hindemith and Holmboe as well as many of Edvard Grieg’s orchestral works.
